ASSESSMENT OF AFFECTIVE DOMAIN IN ATTITUDE SCALE ASSESSMENTS TO ASSESS LEARNING OUTCOMES

Abstract

The evaluation aspects generally cover cognitive, affective, and psychomotoric domains. Explicitly, these three domains cannot be separated from each other. In the affective domain includes assessing the character of behavior such as attitudes, interests, self-concept, values, and morals. Attitude is a complex psychological concept as a collection of the results of a person's evaluation of a particular object, person, or problem. Attitude scale assessment is generally used to assess learning outcomes in the affective domain. Affective domain assessment in the form of an assessment of students' attitude scales needs to be developed to find out changes in the attitudes of students in the learning. How to measure the attitudes of students using non-test instruments in the form of a questionnaire attitude scale based on a Likert scale consisting of 22 questions with answers to questions including: Always (SL), Often (SR), Sometimes (K), Rarely (JR), Never (JTP) based on the attitude scale instrument grid in the form of a checklist. The assessment techniques and instruments used in the 2013 Curriculum include the assessment of competency attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The expectation of affective domain assessment in the form of attitude scale can support the success of students as well as knowing whether failure in the teaching and learning process comes from academic factors or affective factors.
